This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the principles of manual handling when moving objects and people. It also allows Learners to practise a range of techniques that they can apply to their workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Level 2 Assisting and Moving of Individuals (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people. It is ideal for those working in a variety of health and social care environments such as care homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Over a 2 day period, Learners will develop the knowledge and skills relevant to manual handling of objects and the safe moving and handling of people. Topics covered include: common handling injuries, the potential impact to a person if moved incorrectly, personal handling plans, preserving dignity, health and safety when moving a person, using equipment and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This qualification contains 2 mandatory units with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 14 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Learners must complete all assessments in both units successfully within the registration period to achieve the qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The maximum period to achieve this qualification, including any referrals is 6 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n TQT is the total number of hours required for a Learner to achieve this qualification. It has 2 elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) is the time a Learner is being taught and assessed under the immediate guidance of a Trainer\/Assessor, which for this qualification is 12 GLH (minimum), and<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 The number of hours a Learner will reasonably be likely to spend in preparation and study, including assessment, as directed by, but not under the immediate guidance or supervision of a Trainer, e.g. precourse reading, which for this qualification is 2 hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n Entry Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Learners must be at least 16 years old on the first day of the training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n MCQ Papers, Practical Assessements and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course<\/p>\n\n\n\n Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Successful Learners will receive a Nationally Recognised Level 2 Assisting and Moving of Individuals certificate which is valid for 3 years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the principles of manual handling when moving objects and people.
