This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their awareness of health and safety, including the role that everyone plays in maintaining a safe working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) qualification is ideal for all employees to raise their awareness of health and safety in the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During this 1 day course, Learners will develop a greater understanding of health and safety issues, including: health and safety laws, risk assessments and risk control hierarchy, identifying and controlling risks from common workplace hazards and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This qualification contains 1 mandatory unit with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 7 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Learners must complete all assessments in the unit successfully within the registration period to achieve the qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The maximum period to achieve this qualification, including any referrals is 4 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n TQT is the total number of hours required for a Learner to achieve this qualification. It has 2 elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) is the time a Learner is being taught and assessed under the immediate guidance of a Trainer\/Assessor, which for this qualification is 6 GLH (minimum), and<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 The number of hours a Learner will reasonably be likely to spend in preparation and study, including assessment, as directed by, but not under the immediate guidance or supervision of a Trainer, e.g. pre-course reading, which for this qualification is 1 hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n Entry Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n MCQ papers and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Successful Learners will receive a Nationally Recognised Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace certificate which is valid for 3 years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their awareness of health and safety, including the role that everyone plays in maintaining a safe working environment.
