The 3 day Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) re-qualification course is also perfect for those who have already completed an FPOSi qualification and are due to re qualify.

Overview
This qualification should give Learners a foundation level of pre hospital care knowledge and clinical practice to deal with a range of pre hospital care situations.
Over a 5 day period, Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to deal with a range of pre hospital care emergencies, such as: managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more
The purpose of this qualification is to prepare Learners to be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective pre hospital care in situations which can arise when providing emergency treatment and/or management.
Structure
This qualification comprises 3 mandatory units with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 153 hours.
Learners must complete all assessments/skills tests in the unit successfully within the registration period to achieve the qualification. The maximum period to achieve this qualification, including any referrals is 20 weeks.
Each credit is equivalent to 10 hours learning time. Learning time consists of guided learning hours (GLH) and self-directed study. GLH are a measure of the contact time a typical Learner will require in direct guidance – from a Trainer – to complete their programme of learning successfully, which for this qualification should be a minimum of 35 hours over 5 days (excluding breaks). Sessions should be a minimum of 2 hours.
Learners should be encouraged to do a minimum of 118 hours of self-directed study, which should include additional reading and applied practice.
Entry Requirements
Learners must be at least 17 years old on the first day of the training.
There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent and a basic understanding of first aid
Assessment
Practical Assessments, Multiple Choice Question Papers, Skill Tests and Continuous Formative Assessment.
Certification
Successful Learners will receive a Nationally Recognised Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care certificate which is valid for 3 years however annual CPD is mandatory.
